Thank you for commenting. I have been away from substack since that post over 3 months ago. I can say this has been the most healing time, away from social media and the pressures to produce and prove worth through what I can "do" or in this case write about. At the least giving myself the spaciousness to feel through these pressures and remember they are an imagined construct, not coming from within me)
I will write again soon because I do want to share about this time. And I will be sharing quite of bit of artwork Ive been finally been able to complete in this "space between". Thank you for being here. I subscribed to your substack and look forward to reading :) Love, Rae
You're very welcome, Rae! I so understand that taking time away can feel deeply restorative and healing. I find that sometimes, creation for me comes in wave. The internal creation happens "in the dark" (so to speak) and the external creation (such as writing about my experiences) happens "in the open."
Whenever you feel ready to share again, I look forward to hearing and seeing more. :)
This sounds so nourishing. I took a month off social media in December, and it was glorious! And I, too, love Katherine May's "Wintering", very much annual reading. I hope that you are looking after yourself during your 'Wintering' time x
Michelle! It has been over 3 months of taking this space for myself (and my family for that matter) and it has been quite enlightening and healing. I am so thankful I gave myself this gift. Currently I am doubling down on my physical health and will be utilizing more of your Ayurvedic insight. I apologize for not being as active on your stack but Im sure you understand. I do feel that my Dinacharya are pretty solid these days and are authentic to me as an individual. :) I will be back to write and share about this time of self sovereignty when the time feels right. Thank you for still being here and supporting. You are truly appreciated. Love, Rae
I really like the idea of "Wintering", Rae! I can relate to the pull to go within during the winter months.
